Why Join NARFE?

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association is the only association dedicated to protecting the earned retirement benefits of federal employees, retirees and their survivors.  Founded in 1921 it is an effective and respected legislative voice for federal workers and retirees.

Of course as in any organization there are membership benefits such as a national monthly magazine,  a credit union, a national website including means to automatically send email to congressmen regarding issues of interest to members, membership discounts with a variety of  companies, travel packages, credit card and insurance programs.  See http://www.narfe.org for more information on member benefits.

More importantly NARFE's objectives are to:

Sponsor and support legislation to protect the benefits and general welfare of its members on issues such as health benefits, retirement, etc.  For information on NARFE's current legislative program see:
http://www.narfe.org

Members can Sign in and Go to the section on Departments, then Legislative Program

Keep members informed about legislative issues that arise in Congress.

Strengthen the political influence of current and future retirees through operation of  a Political Action Committee known as NARFE PAC.

Maximize political impact by cooperation with other organizations seeking similar legislative goals.

Help members through local Service Officers and by working with the Office of Personnel Management to answer members questions related to retirement benefits.

Foster public recognition and appreciation of government service.

Contribute to the well being of our local communities through volunteer service.
